I Care Officially Opens School

Subsequent to I Care's Rehabilitation programme we have found that many children have incredible gaps in their education due to their time on the streets and as a result battle to attend school effectively.

I Care has opened a school at Mother of Peace in Illovo using the Accelerated Christian Education School (ACE) model. Relevant registration applications have been made to Department of Education. It has been found that the individualized learning programmed that this model offers, affords the children the opportunity to learn at a faster pace and the children show a very keen interest in learning in this type of environment. As children succeed in the ACE programme some of them are able to be admitted back into main stream schooling.
